Tea Magic & Tea Leaf Reading with Jenay Marontate

Jenay Marontate

About This Session

Tea has long served as a bridge between the practical and the mystical—a familiar daily ritual that can calm the body, focus the mind, awaken intuition, and invite deeper connection.

In Tea Magic & Tea Leaf Reading, Jenay Marontate introduces participants to the sacred art of working with tea as a tool for ritual, meditation, intention, and divination.

Participants will explore the foundations of tea magic, including how to select a tea that complements a particular energy, intention, ritual, or spiritual practice. Jenay will also discuss how the act of brewing tea with care and purpose can transform an ordinary cup into a meaningful moment of reflection and connection.

From there, the class will move into the magical world of tea leaf reading, also known as tasseography.

Jenay will guide participants through the process of observing the tea leaves remaining in the bottom of a cup, recognizing possible symbols, and beginning to interpret the patterns and images that emerge. These symbols may offer insight, reflection, direction, or confirmation.

Tea leaf reading is not simply about predicting the future. It is an intuitive practice that encourages presence, symbolic awareness, personal reflection, and a deeper relationship with one’s own inner knowing.

Whether participants are completely new to tea magic or already drawn to herbs, ritual, divination, or spellcraft, this class offers an accessible and enchanting introduction to incorporating tea into everyday spiritual practice.

Things to Know

No previous experience with tea leaf reading, divination, or tea magic is required. This is an introductory, hands-on session designed to welcome both beginners and those who already enjoy working with tea, herbs, ritual, or intuitive practices.
