Healing Sound with Dr. Shirley Rowland
In Healing Sound, Dr. Shirley Rowland guides participants through a restorative sound healing experience rooted in ancestral tradition and rhythmic wisdom.
Using drums, rattles, and sacred sound instruments, this session works with rhythm and vibration to help calm the nervous system, balance the brain, and support harmony between body, mind, and spirit. Sound is used as a meditative tool, inviting the body to settle, the breath to soften, and awareness to return to the present moment.
Rather than focusing on technique or performance, this experience emphasizes listening and receiving. The layered sounds create a grounding environment where participants may experience relaxation, emotional regulation, and a sense of connection through vibration and rhythm.
Healing Sound is accessible to all and especially supportive for those seeking grounding, nervous system support, or a gentle moment of restoration within the larger festival experience. This offering honors sound as one of humanity’s oldest healing languages — a bridge between tradition, the body, and inner stillness.
